Hello All,
as some of you are aware we are hideously close now to leaving Ardlethan (2nd Feb) and continuing on our journey. We plan to take the next 4 months off and after visiting friends and family, generally heading toward W.A. via Broken Hill.
We also have a new addition to our family. On Monday the 23rd of January we bought an 8 week old English Staffy we named Charlie. He is a delightful boy and is proving to be a quick learner, already seeming to have mastered toilet training in under a week. He is yet to mess in the house. Asha is coping ok with the addition and is able to escape to the lounge when she has had enough. Charlie as yet cannot jump that high, though he can manage the steps into Bess.
To back up a bit, we arrived in the Riverina looking for work at the start of April and I had work within a few days at a grain storage facility in Ardlethan thanks to a contact Barry had in Temora. We stayed at Lib's parents new house in Temora and I commuted to work each day (approximately 140 km round trip). We stayed there til harvest began in mid November when we moved to Ardlethan Caravan Park. Lib was offered a job working in the weighbridge during harvest and we really then began to save for the next leg of our journey.
We celebrated all our birthdays and Christmas in Temora with Barry and Judith, and also enjoyed numerous visits from our nephews during the year.
As of this coming Thursday will we be free again.
